Office of the Acting Chief Justice




The President of the Student Body shall nominate, with the advice and consent of the Senate, the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice serves a one-year term and may be re-appointed for one additional term. Some of the duties of the Chief Justice include: presiding over all meetings and judicial proceedings, being responsible for the enforcement of all time limits during Court proceedings, administering the Oath of Office to the Student Government President and Vice-President, having the first speaking rights on issues, assigning opinions of majority and minority, appointing committee members as well as being the accountable financial officer for the court.

Bryan Buenaventura is currently the Interim (acting) Chief Justice until the position is filled. He currently persides over the General Meetings and Student Parking Appeals. Bryan is currently a senior persuing a double major in History and Applied Science in Criminal Justice.
