Bionqua Lynch Miss USF 2012
Bionqua Lynch was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a senior in high school she visited the University of South Florida and instantly fell in love with the campus. Soon after graduating high school she moved to Florida to begin college as a freshman at the Tampa campus of USF.
Bionqua is now a senior at the University of South Florida majoring in Biology with a minor in Vocal Performance. She loves being involved in her community, organizations and her school. She believes her purpose in life is to help others. She currently runs two mentoring programs through the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. at USF called Young L.A.D.I.E.S. (Learning and Developing Involvement and Educational Skills) and G.E.N.T.S. (Guiding Encouragement to Navigate Toward Success). As a director of the programs, she organizes USF students to go out and mentor high school students in the Hillsborough area. Bionqua is also a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Pre-Pharmacy Club at USF.
In Bionqua’s free time she likes to sing, dance, play sports, and participate in community service with her organizations. Bionqua is extremely invested in her academics and has made the Dean’s List of Honors at USF. She is also a member of the USF College of Arts and Sciences Honors Society.
Bionqua aspires to one day become a pharmacist so she can aid people, worldwide, with their medical needs. She proclaims winning the Miss USF pageant one of the proudest moments of her life. She enjoys representing her school and the student body in any way she can.
